Mr George is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in hip surgery. His elective work is exclusively for disorders of the hip. His areas of interest include primary and revision total hip replacements and hip arthroscopy for conditions such as femoroacetabular impingement. He also performs orthopaedic trauma surgery with an interest in hip fractures and periprosthetic fractures of the hip.
After graduating from the Royal London Hospital in 1994, Mr George underwent postgraduate surgical training posts in and around London prior to embarking on higher surgical training in orthopaedic surgery on the South East Thames programme in 2001. He has been on the specialist register as an Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2007 and following this undertook a hip fellowship at Guy’s Hospital as well as visiting other specialist hip centres in both the UK and United States. He was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals in 2009.
Mr George has published numerous articles and book chapters on hip surgery, regularly teaches on postgraduate courses and trains future hip surgeons working at Guy’s and St Thomas’.
